another creepy creature

just a slug...but he was big...and slimy...and he had a hole in his side. not sure if all slugs do, though so not sure if that is anything to blog about. but anywhooo...hadn't posted in awhile and since this guy showed up on my sidewalk today, i thought i would take a picture.

this is a scanned picture of my mom when she was just a little younger than i am now. i love this picture because it reminds me of how she always enjoyed an adventure - and believe me, everyday with her was an adventure!! she would have absolutely loved being a mamaw to my little sweeties. i sure do miss her and i cannot believe it has been 10 years already. love you so much momma.

love bugs

even though these guys more than slightly creep me out, they do look cool. and they looked like they were getting ready to dance or kiss or something...that is why i call them love bugs:) josh said they look like they are getting ready to fight so i guess we could have also called this picture u.f.c(ultimate fighting cicadas!).
