BarlowGirl

This band is pretty rad. yes I said rad I bet you didn't know I knew cool words like that, well I tried to get free VIP tickets and that didn't work out. So I just settled for a regular experience with @BarlowGirl (for you tweeters), and a regular experience with them is still a great one. This tour is an acoustic christmas tour, which got me in the christmas-y mood and thats hard to do, but they did now I am embracing this cold even though I am rocking my flip-flops in the rain and snow today. Yuck snow, oh well I will wear my TOMS boots and it will make things better.

Favorite movie

Now once again Im jumping to conclusions and saying that this is becoming one of my favorite movies and I haven't even finished it. This movie hits all my comedy points of making fun of people without actually making fun of them and the ridiculousness of life. I am smiling just thinking about it, but I haven't seen the ending. So Away We Go. been a L to the A Z Y day but I got to watch this awesome movie I picked up about 2 months ago and never got to watch it.

I did not edit these... but I wanted to show you where my creativity flows. I hope you enjoy a step into my life for a little bit, I did leave some areas for another time. For example I have a bathroom that rocks and a bedroom that will soon be a painting studio, I'm pretty excited but it will wait a little longer.

Soy Sauce

I love making and eating Vegetable Fried Rice. It is super easy. I even use boil in a bag rice and if you want to make it chicken fried rice you can use canned chicken, but if you do make sure you rinse it and then cook it on the side in some soy sauce and maybe a little terriyaki if you have it. First I make the rice the way the box tells me too, I only use boil in a nag because it cuts down on the mess of the process. Then when its done and its in a bowl cooling, I preheat the wok with some vegetable oil and then put the frozen pack of asian medly veggies in. Let them cook while you're getting 1 or 2 eggs or none if you dont like egg, then add soy sauce, stir. I love soy sauce, a lot if you don't just don't put as much but I do. And then I add the rice to the wok and stir aside and as its mixing i add soy sauce. I then push all of it to the and make the eggs in the wok next to the pile of rice. when it cooks i chop it up and stir it in. Lastly if you are making chicken fried rice add the chicken and soy sauce and turn the heat up and stir constantly to get everything the same temp and mixed really well. If you only want vegetable fried rice the forget the chicken add soy sauce and heat up and stir then eat!

Abandon Kansas

Abandon Kansas is a band who has become my new favorite band for right now. I may not have ever heard of them until I saw the artwork on the front, nothing spectacular but nothing too simple. I liked the idea of the photographs merging the guys together to make one thing (a band). So heres the cover, and yes I do judge music based on the cover, oh well. It hasn't steered me wrong yet.

being stuffed up

I declare war on my sinuses today for what they have done to what is normally a productive last couple of days. And I need a box of tissues, I ran out. But I am laying around today here at the apartment for at least another hour. Then I am going shopping for newborn photography props! yes you read right, newborns, like 5 to 7 day old human beings, they are going to be my newest clients next week. expect pictures! but Ill end this post with a pearl of wisdom, salt + warm water + a cup = Gargling for throat soreness relief. I'll be gping to do that again right now.

No Shave November

Last month was November, This is 2 years in a row I have participated in No Shave November. This year I even started in October I was so excited. But now that it is December I have decided it is don't grow december. This was my beard after about 2 months, not that impressive for the amount of time but still a beard. the next post will show no beard.

senior picture session

Sarah is a senior this year and now that I have established a website, got my business cards I decided to do a promo shoot for this year and then handout cards and sign up those juniors for next years shots. I have been doing a lot in school and kind of forgot about my blog, sorry. But I'm back again I think I am going to start a 365 project starting tomorrow and challenge myself to stick to it all year everyday! I guess we will see if I post by tomorrow night at midnight. I already have a couple of Ideas but It would also keep me creative and on my toes and carrying atleast my point&shoot at all times or just my new NIKON D90 which I am in love with. I got an awesome deal on it and am ready to break it in some more, well Good night I'll let you know which one is Sarah's Favorite but this was my favorite from the shoot.

and the winner is...

so here are two cars we saw while doing the photo fundraiser. the first one wins the prize for the biggest car...and the second one takes the medal for two categories...the smallest, the craziest! and in case you were wondering, yes, there were several people standing around drinking red bulls. by several i mean a whole wedding party and entourage! unfortunately however, none of them had wings. overall a great day though! great way to raise money for our teens:)
